With two of the Pac-12's most talented quarterbacks taking the same field Thursday night, the Cal Golden Bears (20) and UCLA Bruins may play a game of "who has the ball last?"
After getting off to a 4-0 start, true freshman QB Josh Rosen and UCLA stumbled to consecutive losses against Arizona State and Stanford. And while Cal QB Jared Goff, who was receiving Heisman buzz, threw five interceptions in Cal's loss to Utah last week, their first loss of the season.

Both teams' defenses are allowing nearly 400 yards per game, though UCLA has limited its opponents to 176.2 passing yards per game. Cal is allowing 236.3 passing yards per game.
While Goff may challenge UCLA's pass defense, he knows he has to be more careful with the football.
"It's going to have to be something I'm going to have to get better at and learn from," he told reporters at a press conference, calling his performance against Utah "the worst game of his life."
And if Goff does return to form Thursday night, UCLA's offense will have to be sharp in order to keep up. While Rosen has played well for a true freshman, the offense will need to step up as a unit to limit mistakes and eat up the clock.
"For us to beat them, we're going to have to come out and be mistake-free," UCLA receiver Jordan Payton told reporters this week. "It's no rocket science. Penalty-free, turnover-free, and score touchdowns."
