The prequel to much-loved popular animation movie with heart, "Monsters, Inc." might be due in 2013, but early marketing events are on their way to get you closer to the Monsters University.

Pixar's "Monster University" is scheduled to be released in June next year, but the creative heads at Pixar have created an online interactive website of the fictional Monsters University that looks similar to any typical university, if not better.

In the 2001 movie, the Monsters, Inc. factory is powered by children's screams and it is the duty of these monsters to "collect" as much as screams possible from young children. But, in the prequel movie, one can expect the grooming of these monsters into truly frightening expert collectors of high-quality screams.

The fictional college website from the Pixar's award-winning creative team scores high on the coolness quotient and the seriously funny content promises lots of reading pleasure.

MU, as Monsters University is called, has many schools such as The School of Scaring, The School of Liberal Arts & Monstrosities and a few others more to help "students" to develop all the "skills" they need to scare the living daylights of children. If you're looking for admission, you need to have "a validated score on the Monsters Aptitude Test as a part of a multi-pronged evaluation process."

The merchandises available in the "Monsters University Store" are for real unlike everything else on the website.

In addition, the university even has alumni, freshmen sharing their experiences of their stay at university:

"MU is tough. Much tougher than I was used to in High School. There, I could get by being intimidating. At the School of Scaring, I'm forced to be truly frightening," says Lars Bvellum, MU Freshman. Of course, as you might have guessed, Lars Bvellum is a monster with a protruding incisors and skinny wings.

There is even a message from the university president urging "students" to chose Monsters University. MU website says, "what really makes us special, what makes us unique, are the diverse groups of monsters that teach and learn in the halls of our beautiful campus." There are many students who'd agree it fits the description of their own college !

The new movie, "Monsters University" will see John Goodman and Billy Crystal reprise their roles Sully and Mike respectively and will hit the screens on June 21, 2013.

The original 2001 movie, Monster, Inc. is set for its 3D re-release this December.
