The UCLA Bruins (18) and Stanford Cardinal (15) are trying to remain toward the top of their respective Pac-12 divisions while trying to keep pace with the conference's top teams.

UCLA needs to bounce back from a home loss to Arizona State and are trailing Utah for the Pac-12 South lead. Meanwhile, Stanford will try to continue to build on its four game winning streak since losing its opener to Northwestern and hold onto their slim North division lead.

UCLA is down four defensive players now, as Mossi Johnson suffered a torn ACL, MCL and PCL during practice last week. UCLA head football coach Jim Mora said the focus is now going to be on reconfiguring things to make up for the injuries.

"The two practices last week I thought we were good, and then (Sunday) we were on it again," Mora told reporters during his weekly press conference. "We had to rearrange the puzzle a little bit with some guys going down and some guys switching positions."

As for Stanford's offense, the Bruins know they have their work cut out for them and know the best approach will be to not get too complicated.

"They don't hide anything. They are going to line up and run the ball on first and second down, try to get in manageable situations," UCLA outside linebacker Deon Hollins told reporters. "They have had a lot of success with it. They are really good at what they do, so we just have to be a little bit better."
