NASA is looking to shake up your Monday morning with a surprise announcement of a mysterious "major science finding" regarding Mars.

The space agency revealed its press conference Monday morning via news release without disclosing the subject of the announcement, only that it concerned the Red Planet.

You can watch the presser live online with NASA TV. Coverage is expected to begin at 11:30 a.m. ET.

In its release, NASA stated Nature Geoscience, a peer-reviewed scientific journal, embargoed information on the matter until 11 a.m., but it is unclear if NASA will disclose the information ahead of the press event.

From the release, NASA's lineup for the press conference is as follows:

Jim Green, director of planetary science at NASA Headquarters

Michael Meyer, lead scientist for the Mars Exploration Program at NASA Headquarters

Lujendra Ojha of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta

Mary Beth Wilhelm of NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California and the Georgia Institute of Technology

Alfred McEwen, principal investigator for the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) at the University of Arizona in Tucson

Reporters attending the press conference in-person and by phone will be able to ask questions during part of the presser, but Twitter users will be able to participate in the Q-and-A by using the hashtag #AskNASA.
