After putting together arguably the best recruiting class this offseason, Duke head men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski is starting another elite class.
Frank Jackson, a five-star shooting guard from Alpine, Utah, confirmed to ESPN he committed to Duke. Jackson committed to BYU in Sept. 2013 and then de-committed in Nov. 2014. He was also considering schools like Arizona and Stanford, as well as a return to BYU.
Jackson originally planned to start playing basketball in 2018 after doing a Mormon mission, but he will start playing for Duke when he arrives in Durham in 2016.
"Doing a mission is a great thing, but as of right now I am planning on playing in 2016," Jackson told ESPN. "I am still praying about it, so doing a mission still remains a possibility and Coach K was good with that."
ESPN ranked Duke's 2015 class first overall and Krzyzewski seems on the way to building another top-tier class. Jackson joins Jayson Tatum, the second-overall prospect in the 2016 ESPN 100, in Krzyzewski's 2016 class. Jackson ranks 14th overall on the 2016 ESPN 100 as a top-five shooting guard.
247 Sports gave Jackson a 0.9952 composite score and a five-star rating, also placing him among the nation's best shooting guards.
"On my visit I just had a different feeling," Jackson told ESPN. "I trust Coach K. He is all about winning and I am all about winning."
