The Auburn Tigers and Oregon Ducks became the latest college football powerhouses to sign on for the annual AdvoCare Classic at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

According to ESPN, the two teams will kick off the 2019 season in the home of the Dallas Cowboys. This season's game will be between Alabama and Wisconsin, followed by Alabama and USC next year, Florida and Michigan in 2017, then LSU and Miami in 2018.

Last year featured Florida State, then the defending National Champions, and Oklahoma State. This year's matchup will feature the last two teams to lose in the National Championship game.

"An invitation to participate on a stage likes this speaks to the reputation Oregon football has earned, and we're excited to be part of such a prestigious matchup," Oregon Athletic Director Rob Mullens said in a statement.

The last time the Ducks were in AT&T Stadium, they lost to Ohio State for the inaugural College Football Playoff title. Oregon also played in the 2011 season opening game at AT&T Stadium, but lost to LSU.

Auburn has yet to play in the massive, state-of-the-art football stadium.

"I'm thrilled that Auburn will face Oregon in an epic match-up of two elite programs on a big stage to open the 2019 season," Auburn Athletic Director Jay Jacobs said in a statement. "I know how much it means to our players to have an opportunity to play in high-profile games; it is one reason they choose to come to Auburn. I'm also happy for the Auburn family, the best fans in college football. They always travel in masses to support our program, so this is a great reward for them as well."
