The impending quarterback battle at Georgia has apparently influenced redshirt freshman Jacob Park to transfer without a set destination.

Park was recruited as the fourth overall dual-threat QB in head football coach Mark Richt's class of 2014. According to ESPN, Park finished the Bulldogs' spring practices third on the depth chart behind sophomore Brice Ramsey and junior Faton Bauta.

Georgia is also going to add ex-Virginia QB Greyson Lambert to the mix. Thanks to the NCAA's graduate transfer rule, Lambert will be able to play this season and has two years of eligibility as well.

"I want to thank Coach Richt and Georgia for the experience I've had in Athens," Park said in a statement released by the team. "I'm grateful for the opportunity but now look forward to what's next in my college career."

The Athens Banner Herald reported that, earlier this week, there was still a chance Park would stay put. His high school head coach told the newspaper the QB's decision was not final. The Herald also indicated Park seemed to be the Bulldogs' third string QB after spring practices.

Wherever Park lands, he will likely have to sit out the upcoming season, unless he can obtain a waiver from the NCAA ruling otherwise.

"We've had conversations during which we discussed all the viewpoints," Richt said in the team's statement. "In the end, he feels like the opportunity for significant playing time would be better at another school. I can understand his decision, and we'll support him in finding a good fit at another institution."
