Oaksterdam University -- the nation's only recognized cannabis college - will host an educational cannabis seminar next month in Las Vegas, school officials announced.

The highly demanded Basic and Advanced Classic Seminars will cover topics ranging from seed to sale. The topics will include Politics & History of Cannabis, indoor horticulture, and advocacy.

"As Nevada moves forward to bring legal medical cannabis to patients, people are looking for comprehensive training from dependable sources such as ours," Dale Sky Jones, executive chancellor of Oaksterdam University, said in a statement. "New business owners, cannabis cultivators, dispensary owners-they need qualified employees. OU has been training people interested in cannabis since 2007 and we've graduated over 20,000 students. We're happy to be back in Las Vegas offering more training."

Certifications are available for the Classic Basic Seminar and the combination of the Classic Basic Seminar and the Advanced Seminar. Cost for the Classic Basic Seminar is $495; cost for both the Classic Basic Seminar and the Advanced Seminar is $795. An early bird discount is available by enrolling by end of day May 31, 2015.

The seminar will take place on June 12, 13, 14, and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Certification is available upon completion of the seminars and a Cannabis Job Fair will be held on June 14 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the same location.
