May 1, 2012 - The recipients of the University of Wyoming Student Affairs Outstanding Service Awards were honored at the recent annual recognition luncheon.

Outstanding Service Awards are presented to individuals who have "exceeded the call of duty and who have excelled in demonstrating initiative, innovations and creativeness; reliability, responsibility and dependability; quality and quantity of work performed; relationship building with students, fellow staff and others; and a positive can-do attitude in the workplace."

The recipients of this year's awards are:

Conrad Chavez, Multicultural Affairs manager, who received the "Outstanding Exempt Staff Member" award.

Dianne Davis UW/Casper College Center outreach student adviser, who received the "Outstanding External Contributor" award.

Debbie Pepmeier, UW Admissions office associate, who received the "Outstanding Non-Exempt Staff Member" award.

Jenny Shufelt, Campus Recreation graduate assistant, who received the "Outstanding Student Contributor" award.

The Student Information Systems Unit and the Administrative Services Unit of the Division of Information Technology received the "Unsung Hero" award. Individuals cited were Jen Chavez and Ross Tolman in the Administrative Systems Unit; and John Klinker, Doug Lee, Eric Mattimoe, Julie Schroyer and Brandon Stevens in the Student Information Systems Unit.
