During the Kentucky Wildcats' (1) pursuit of a perfect season, coach John Calipari's off-court methods in keeping his squad motivated have seemingly garnered equal attention.

Coming up into their game against the Cincinnati Bearcats (8) in the NCAA Tournament third round, the Wildcats got a few extra hours of shut-eye. Kentucky figures to get a dose of their own physical, defense-first approach Saturday afternoon.

Calipari said he would let his players sleep a little longer after getting back to their rooms around 2 a.m. after their win over Hampton. The extra rest may also have to do with who they are playing.

"We just know that they're going to play extremely hard and try to bully us," Kentucky center Willie Cauley-Stein said of Cincinnati in a press conference, according to the Associated Press.

Like Kentucky, Cincinnati relies on a stout defense to push around their opponents, though the Bearcats do not score as well as the Wildcats. They key for Cincinnati will be limiting their mistakes with the ball and hoping they can wear down their opponents.

"Obviously, you can't give them transition," Cincinnati associate head coach Larry Davis said in a press conference. "If you turn the ball over against them, they are great at finishing because they've got eight or nine guys that are pro prospects and they're going to finish it on you if you turn it over. How we handle that will determine what the game's like."
