The Duke Blue Devils (2) and Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11) meet for a rubber match this season in the ACC Tournament semifinals.

Along with North Carolina (19) and Virginia (3), who also play Friday night, the four ACC semifinalists are ranked in the AP's top 25. The conference's championship game could feature two of the nation's five best teams.

Unlike freshmen standouts Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor, senior guard Quinn Cook remembers two recent early exits from the ACC Tournament.

"[We're] playing with a sense of urgency, especially the older guys who have been here," Cook said in a pregame press conference, according to ESPN. "[In the] postseason we [haven't played] as well as we wanted to, so we get another chance this year for the guys who returned. Our younger guys, they've bought in since Day 1.

"We're playing our best basketball right now, and guys keep wanting to get better. I know we're not satisfied."

Duke cruised to a 90-60 victory over Notre Dame on Feb. 7 in Durham amid their current 12-game winning streak. But the Blue Devils' last loss was to Notre Dame, 77-73 defeat in South Bend on Jan. 28.

"That had to be the best [the Blue Devils] played when we saw them in Durham," ESPN quoted Notre Dame coach Mike Brey saying in a pregame presser. "They're playing really well now. We're going to have to attack the zone. That's something that they've evolved into and we're going to have to be good against that.

"Can we guard them? That is the next-level challenge defensively for us."
