The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) men's basketball tournament quarterfinals are serving as the rubber match between the Louisville Cardinals (14) and North Carolina Tar Heels (19).

In what was a stacked ACC, Louisville and North Carolina wound up fourth and fifth, respectively, in the final conference standings. Coach Rick Pitino and his Cardinals come into the game defending a 10-game winning streak in the ACC Tournament and three straight conference titles, both of which seem primed to end this season.

If Louisville can get by North Carolina, they will take on the winner of the game between top-seeded Virginia and ninth-ranked Florida State. Then if they make the championship game, they will likely play either second-ranked Duke or third-ranked Notre Dame.

This season, North Carolina beat Louisville all the way back on Jan. 10, but lost to the Cardinals later that month. Overall, the Heels are 10-4 against the Cards and hold a 7-1 advantage when the two teams play on a neutral court

"I'm definitely looking forward to a third game because that means I'm not going back and packing my junk up and going home," Tar Heels coach Roy Williams said in a pregame press conference, according to ESPN. "We have had two sensational games. They probably should have won the game at our place, and we probably should have won the game at their place. But it's two teams that really, really fight like crazy."
