The Kentucky Wildcats (1) are three weeks and six games away from a perfect regular season record, but they have another milestone in front of them Tuesday night against the Tennessee Volunteers.

With a win, Kentucky would move to 26-0 and set a record for the best start in the team's history. Tennessee was off to a 4-1 start against the SEC, but a 2-5 record since has leveled the Volunteers off at 6-6 in the conference.

Kentucky altered its schedule to get their road game in Tuesday night so the team would not be stuck traveling through the snow on Wednesday. For the routine-oriented coach of the Wildcats, John Calipari, that in itself will be a test for the unanimously voted number one team in the nation.

"I'm a creature of habit," he said in a pregame press conference, according to the Associated Press. "I'm a meatloaf-and-potatoes (guy), unless they don't have it. Then I may try a steak."

Tennessee coach Donnie Tyndall said ahead of the game that Calipari's squad this season is among the best in the history of men's Division I college basketball.

"I think it's arguably the best team to ever be assembled," he said. "One team I think is comparable is the team with [Stacey] Augmon and [Larry] Johnson and that group at UNLV, but this team here is right there in the talk for being the most talented team ever assembled."
