Duke vs Virginia Basketball Live Radio Broadcast, Preview: Blue Devils Look to Wrap Up Tough Road Stretch
ByThe Duke Blue Devils (4) are wrapping up a tough stretch of playing on the road against the unbeaten Virginia Cavaliers (2).
Duke started its three-game set away from Durham with a win over St. John's for coach Mike Krzyzewski's 1,000th win, but then things took a turn for the worse. Duke lost to Notre Dame Thursday and Krzyzewski dismissed junior guard Rasheed Sulaimon the next day.
It was the first time Krzyzewski dismissed a player in his 35-year tenure at Duke.

Spared from playing Kentucky in its nonconference schedule, Duke will likely be facing its toughest task in Virginia Saturday. The Cavaliers are allowing an average of 49 points per game. They have only allowed more than 60 points three times, the same amount of times they have held an opponent under 30 points.
Duke's best shot at upsetting their ACC rival would be finding a way to overwhelm the Virginia defense with Jahlil Okafor attracting attention away from perimeter sharp shooters. Just as Duke has not seen a defense like Virginia's, Virginia has not seen an offense like Duke's.
Though Virginia may not have the flash and hype that constantly surrounds Duke, they are consistent, and Cavaliers coach Tony Bennett wants his squad to remember that.
"It's still the same mindset: Will you be faithful to the things that have gotten you there?" Bennett said in a pregame news conference, according to the Associated Press. "It doesn't change. Nothing changes. All of a sudden, you don't become someone you're not. That would be fool's gold. That would be a big mistake."
