With Brett Hundley not participating in the 2015 Senior Bowl, Bryce Petty may be the top passer going into the game.

Petty is part of a quarterback draft class that is widely considered to be weak overall, but he can use that to his advantage with a good performance in the Senior Bowl. First off, he needs to put distance in terms of ability between himself and the rest of the QBs playing in the game Monday.

Per to AL.com, Petty will play for the North squad, which will be coached by the staff of the Tennessee Titans, and will be joined by Sean Mannion and Shane Carden. On the South team, coached by the Jacksonville Jaguars staff, will be Blake Sims and Garrett Grayson.

The Titans are widely believe to be eyeing either Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota for their second overall pick, as the Tampa Bay Bucks are believed to be doing the same with the first overall pick. That would make Petty arguably the second-best QB on the board after the first two picks.

With Matthew Stafford firmly in place, the Detroit Lions are reportedly looking for a long-term replacement for the former number one overall pick, according to the Detroit News. The team's head coach and general manager have been at the Senior Bowl practice sessions to get a good look at Petty.

The News noted that Petty would be a good fit for the Lions because the team could patiently let him develop behind Stafford.

Also among teams interested in Petty are the Cleveland Browns, ESPN reported. But unlike the Lions, Petty would theoretically jump right into a starting QB competition involving Brian Hoyer, Johnny Manziel and Connor Shaw. That competition could drag into the regular season and cause all four to get irregular playing time, which the Browns are all too used to at the position.

Petty could be a fit for almost any team that needs a QB, but he does not seem to be the kind of prospect who could start right away.
