Arguably one of the best matchups on paper going into this year's college football bowl season will be the Ole Miss Rebels (9) and TCU Horned Frogs (9).

No team in the nation allowed fewer points per game than the Rebels and only one team threw for more yards per game than the Horned Frogs did, according to ESPN. TCU is also playing in the Chik-fil-A Peach Bowl with a chip on their shoulder for being passed over in the inaugural College Football Playoff (CFP).

Only twice did Ole Miss allow an opponent to score more than 30 points this season and both instances - to Auburn and Arkansas - were losses. They held teams like Alabama, Texas A&M and Mississippi State to 20 points or less in wins this season.

But TCU is one of the most explosive offenses in the nation and the key for Ole Miss will be to score enough. With an offense like TCU's on the other side, quarterback Bo Wallace and the Rebels are going to need to execute their plays and keep Trevone Boykin and co. on the sidelines.

Boykin threw for 3,714 yards this season and ran for 642, while scoring a total of 38 touchdowns. TCU only lost once this season, to Baylor, and went into the final weekend ranked in the CFP selection committee's top four. Still, despite beating up on an Iowa State team they were expected to beat up on, and sharing the Big 12 conference title, they dropped out of the top four in the final rankings.

TCU has won six of eight bowl games under head football coach Gary Patterson, but lost to LSU last Aug., the last time they played an SEC team.
