Bo Pelini has reportedly become the latest college football head coach domino to fall, as numerous media outlets say he has accepted the job at Youngstown State.

Unnamed sources close to the situation told ESPN Tuesday that the school plans to introduce Pelini on Wednesday. Last week, Pelini was reportedly considering taking the job, though he publicly denied those reports.

According to the Associated Press, the source wished to remain anonymous because the school has yet to make the official announcement.

Pelini spent the last seven seasons in his first head coaching job at Nebraska, but before he was the defensive coordinator at LSU and Oklahoma. Pelini led Nebraska to a 67-27 record, but lost his ultimately because he could not lead the Cornhuskers to a Big Ten title despite winning the division multiple times.

An NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program, the Youngstown State Penguins play in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Jim Tressel, currently the school's president, coached at Youngstown State before taking the position at Ohio State.

Pelini grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and he will now be coaching in Ohio State's backyard and under Tressel's watchful eye. Pelini would become just the fifth current FCS coach with past experience in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision.
