Big Ten Championship 2014 Live Radio Broadcast: Ohio State and Wisconsin Both Relying on the Run Game
ByThe Ohio State Buckeyes (5) can complete their journey back from a devastating week two upset to Virginia Tech by beating the Wisconsin Badgers (13) in the Big Ten Championship.
The Buckeyes are also reeling from the loss of quarterback J.T. Barrett, who broke his ankle in the team's season finale win over Michigan. Barrett was replacing Braxton Miller, so now the Buckeyes are down to third-string QB Cardale Jones.

Despite the loss of Barrett, the College Football Playoff (CFP) committee raised the Buckeyes up to fifth in their penultimate rankings. That may well be due to Ohio State's potent rushing offense, which is averaging 257 yards per game. Now, they know what they have to do, but Ohio State may also need a CFP top-four team to stumble.
"You stop Melvin Gordon, I think we've got a great chance," Buckeyes linebacker Curtis Grant told reporters, according to the Associated Press.
Wisconsin's Heisman hopeful running back has a certain level of uncertainty for the Big Ten title game, as he sprained an ankle last week against Minnesota. Wisconsin coach Gary Andersen said Gordon will do everything he can to play against Ohio State.
"It's got me on high alert and the only thing I can do is listen to Melvin Gordon, because I know Melvin is going to tell me what his mindset is - and he will be 100 percent ready to roll on Saturday," he told reporters.
Gordon is turning it on at exactly the right time, averaging 241 yards on the ground per game in his last four games, a span in which he has reached the end zone 10 times. The ground game figures to be central to both teams' potential success.
