Coming off their major upset win over Michigan State, the Ohio State Buckeyes (8) have their work cut out for them in trying to make the College Football Playoff (CFP) as they visit the Minnesota Gophers (25).

Now with sole possession of the Big Ten East, Ohio State has to win out and take the conference title to overcome a week two loss to Virginia Tech and have a shot at the CFP. Minnesota is tied atop the Big Ten West with their last two regular season games being against Nebraska and Wisconsin, the two other teams vying for the division.

Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes got the best of Michigan State in East Lansing last weekend, avenging their Big Ten title game loss last season. Thus far in his Ohio State coaching career, no win was quite so big for Meyer.

According to the Associated Press, the Buckeyes are not pretending that their last great test is done.

"Michigan State's behind us," defensive tackle Michael Bennett told reporters. "We had a good game, celebrated it and now it's time to move on to Minnesota."

"You can't sleep on nobody in this league," safety Vonn Bell said. "Everybody's got good athletes. It's on to the next (game)."

Quarterback J.T. Barrett has been the key to the Buckeyes' success this year and he was spectacular against Michigan State. Barrett ran for two touchdowns and threw for three, accumulating 386 yards of total offense.

Minnesota has been holding opponents to 21 points per game, but they are going to have their biggest test of the season Saturday. The Gophers may not have the CFP shot that the Buckeyes do, but they too can control their destiny by winning.
