Bath Liberal Democrat candidate Steve Bradley has launched a student survey to address the top concerns of all students in the area.

Bradley, who is a former student of the University of Bath in the United Kingdom, said he has a personal understanding of what issues really matter to students. In an effort to connect with current students, he is encouraging young scholars from around the area to make their voices heard.

"I loved my time as a student and then as the Students' Union President at the University of Bath. Bath became my home during my time here -- I loved everything about the city; Bath's history, Bath's people, the vibrancy," Bradley said. "So much goes on in our small city. It's no wonder that every time I mention Bath to people outside it they say they've always wanted to live here."

He said that in answering the survey students can shed light on the issues that are close to them, whether it's at national or local level.

"I'm a firm believer in the idea that empowering students is the best way to engage with pressing issues that directly affect them," Bradley explained. "By providing the right platform for students to raise their concerns we can then help them to get the most out of their time in Bath, whilst remaining conscious of maintaining a balance between the permanent and temporary residents of Bath."

Bradley also said he is eager to connect with students, represent their views and take action on the issues they raise.

"I want to address the relevant issues that concern them both. As a student and now as a permanent resident, I have both perspectives," he added.
