The Florida State Seminoles (2) are defending their spot in the College Football Playoff (CFP) on the road against the Louisville Cardinals (25).

With arguably the best defense in college football, Louisville represents Jameis Winston and the Florida State offense's biggest test. Thursday night's game is also one the Seminoles need to have to keep their one-game lead in the ACC Atlantic Division.

The Cardinals are allowing an average of 245.8 total yards per game and 68.8 rushing yards per game, both the best in the nation. Their pass defense also has the second most interceptions in the nation with 15 and is allowing an average of just 14.6 points per game.

The defending Heisman Trophy winner, Winston will have his tallest order yet, as the Cardinals have proved they are able to shut down more than one aspect of an opposing offense. The game is also evidence that the win over Notre Dame does not mean Florida State can now cruise to another undefeated season.

"We don't have anything to prove to anybody," Winston told reporters, according to ESPN. "We've just got to keep playing and hopefully things will go our way. But one thing we are consistently proving is that we are winners."

Louisville will need to score points to beat Florida State, as the Seminoles still have a more well-rounded offense than any the Cardinals have seen this year.
