We usually have to wait for the postseason to get a matchup this huge, but college football fans are being treated to see the Mississippi State Bulldogs (3) host the Auburn Tigers (2).

Two of the Southeastern Conference's best, Mississippi State and Auburn are well rounded and play the game extremely well in multiple aspects of the game. However, Saturday's matchup will come down to Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott trying to best a much-improved Auburn defense.

On offense, Auburn remains a run-first team with the likes of Cameron Artis-Payne and Corey Grant in the backfield. Quarterback Nick Marshall is also a major contributor to the run game, scoring four of the team's 13 rushing touchdowns this season.

Though not a major threat through the air, Marshall has only thrown one interception this year, but also has a 57.9 percent completion rate. Marshall will have to protect the ball and keep Prescott off the field, because he figures to wear the Auburn defense out.

"This will be the first quarterback in a while with that size and caliber," Auburn cornerback Johnathon Mincy said ahead of the game, according to the Associated Press.

Prescott has thrown for 1,232 yards, 13 touchdowns and has run for 455 yards and six touchdowns. He has led the Bulldogs though the most difficult part of their season thus far, but Auburn remains the toughest team they have played thus far.

Mississippi State has already beat ranked SEC teams such as LSU and Texas A&M while Alabama and Ole Miss still loom in their future.

"I'm still just down there in the meetings trying to figure out how to score some points and how to shut the other team down," Mississippi State head football coach Dan Mullen told reporters, according to the AP. "I still think [Prescott's] getting better every single day."
