Getting started a big day in college football and a bigger day in the state of Miss. is the Mississippi State Bulldogs (12) hosting the Texas A&M Aggies (6).

Both teams are undefeated in the SEC and their matchup is the first of six games between two ranked opponents, three of which are in the SEC. Kicking off just a few hours later will be Alabama visiting Oxford to play Ole Miss.

After the second-ranked Oregon Ducks lost to Arizona Thursday night, quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Kenny Hill has a chance to lead the Aggies farther up the ranks in the AP Top 25 poll.

"We can compete with people in the SEC," Hill told reporters after the win over Arkansas, according to ESPN. "I mean, we didn't play our best (last Saturday), but we still competed and came out with a win... I think that shows us, more than anything, we can come back from a deficit like that and we can still come out with a win."

The sophomore has thrown for 1,745 yards and 17 touchdowns, with a 65 percent completion percentage.

Mississippi State is also looking to continue their climb after going on the road to beat LSU two weeks ago. The Bulldogs host Texas A&M Saturday, then host Auburn next week, before playing Alabama and Ole Miss in their last three weeks.

Hill has led one of the best passing offenses in the nation at Texas A&M and it will be hard for Mississippi State to hold down their point total. They will need to limit the damage on defense and not give the ball away on offense.

"You know you're going to have to score," Bulldogs head football coach Dan Mullen told reporters. "If they hit their average, it means we have to score 52. If you hold them just below the average, we'll have to score 50. Offensively, you know you're going to have to score points against them if you're going to beat them."
