ByThe Alabama Crimson Tide's (3) quarterback competition has carried into week four against the Florida Gators, but it's Blake Sims who has been commanding more time on the field.
The game is one of the first major SEC matchups this season and will be an important test for both of Alabama's passers, Blake Sims and Jacob Coker. Sims has made about twice as many pass attempts as Coker this year and has a 75 percent completion percentage, 646 yards and four touchdown strikes.

Coker has played in only two games after sitting out the Tide's season opener, though he only had seven attempts in last week against Southern Mississippi. Coker has 248 passing yards, one touchdown and a 65 percent completion percentage.
The game is also a meeting between Alabama head coach Nick Saban, one of the most successful college football coaches in recent memory, and his former pupil. Florida head coach Will Muschamp served as Saban's assistant with both LSU and the Miami Dolphins.
"I've got a lot of respect for Nick," Muschamp told reporters ahead of Saturday's game, according to ESPN. "I probably wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the opportunities he gave me early in my career and he's an outstanding football coach."
Florida is playing its first road game of the season after averaging 50.5 points in their first two games against Eastern Michigan and Kentucky. Alabama is playing in its fourth straight home game to open the season and is averaging 12 points allowed on defense.
In order to pull off an upset, Florida will have to contain running back T.J. Yeldon and wide receiver Amari Cooper, two of Alabama's biggest offensive weapons. With those two neutralized, Florida will then need to force whoever is under center for the Tide to step up and make plays.
