The odds seem to be in favor of Colombia.

In spite of not being to a World Cup in 16 years and having one of the most inexperienced squads, Colombia was able to score maximum points from three games. The soccer team outscored Greece, Ivory Coast and Japan by a score of 9-2, never scoring less than two goals in any single match, making it one of the most impressive teams at the 2014 FIFA World Cup through the group stage.

Colombia has scored first in each of their group games, enabling them to set the tone and control the match. They may do the same with Uruguay.

By contrast, Uruguay has taken longer to score in their match against Italy "coming at 81 minutes into the match," CBC reported. This team will most likely be fighting to gain momentum from the start.

It is unsure if Uruguay can win without Luis Suarez, who was thrown out of the World Cup for biting a player earlier this week.

The team lost their game-opening match with him on the bench. Now Suarez's dismissal from the tournament may affect their playing. Suarez has scored half of Uruguay's four goals in this tournament.

The two South American teams have some history playing against each other. Uruguay beat Colombia in a World Cup qualifier on Sept. 10, 2013. However, a year earlier Colombia thrashed Uruguay 4-0 in a qualifier.
