Argentina benefitted from a Bosnian own goal in their World Cup opening match, but Messi's goal in the 65th minute proved to be the difference maker as Bosnia scored in the 85th minute. Then the Argentinians went 90 minutes scoreless with Iran, but Messi struck the game-winner in the first minute of stoppage time to give his team the win.
Nigeria finished its World Cup opener against Iran in a 0-0 draw then beat Bosnia 1-0, thanks to Peter Odemwingie's goal in the 29th minute. With four points, Nigeria holds the upper hand in the Group F standings, but Iran will be facing off against a weaker opponent.
According to FIFA.com, Estadio Beira-Rio, an arena built in 1969 and that seats 43,394 people, will host the match. The city of Porto Alegre should get fair temperatures in the mid-to-upper-70s, but scattered thunderstorms are expected during the day, according to Weather.com.
Nigeria is trying to match the best finish they have ever had in four World Cup appearances, which is to reach the Round of 16. Argentina on the other hand is making its 15th appearance and will try to win the country's third title, the most recent being in 1986.
