Japan lost to the Ivory Coast 2-1 on June 14 and managed to keep Greece to a goalless draw Thursday.

Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni has admitted that the team is disappointed with their World cup campaign.

"We're not satisfied with our performances so far," Zaccheroni is quoted as saying by The Telegraph. "We haven't had enough speed in our play and it's as though the players have been playing with the brakes on. The problem is probably mental."

Zaccheroni hopes his side"can rediscover their attacking zest to prolong their World Cup campaign." The Blue Samurai faces early elimination if they achieve anything less than a victory in this match.

"This team has given lots of joy and satisfaction in previous matches over the past four years, so I'm hoping we can show that good part of our football against Colombia," he said.

Japan may hope that Colombia ease up since their spot in the last 16 is secured.

Colombia is entering the knockout phase for the first time since 1990 and "the world's eighth-ranked side want to continue the momentum," The Telegraph reported.

According to Weather.com, the temperature at the city of Cuiaba, where the match will take place, is expected to reach the high 70s or low 80s.

Pedro Proenca will be the head referee. Two men from Portugal and a Panamanian will serve as his three assistants.
