Virginia and Vanderbilt are set to start the best-of-three College World Series (CWS) final Monday night.

Ole Miss needed to beat undefeated Virginia twice in the double elimination semifinal matchup, but could not survive a three-run fourth inning Saturday. Texas also needed to win twice, but unbeaten Vanderbilt won on a walk-off infield single in the bottom of the 10th inning.

According to the Associated Press, Tyler Campbell was not even expecting to play in the CWS, but he played against Texas to fill in for Xavier Turner. He had one hit that game, a bases-loaded infield single in the bottom of the tenth to win the game. That at-bat was just his 22nd of the season.

"As far as these past few days, it's just been fun," Campbell told the AP. "From the time I got in, I've tried to stay focused and stay in the moment, and it's been all right."

Virginia is going to the CWS final for the third time and will look to win the school's first national championship in baseball.

"I thought we would be pretty darn good in Omaha on the mound. I really did," Virginia coach Brian O'Connor told the AP. "Obviously, the spacious ballpark and our ability to defend have a lot to do with it. What we've done all year is throw strikes. Our walk numbers are ridiculously low. And we've got really good arms."

Virginia's pitching has been strong in the CWS tournament, but the Cavaliers will need to hit better with runners in scoring position. Heading into their game against Texas, Virginia was batting for a .091 average in such situations.

The first two games of the series will be played Monday and Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET. Game three will be Wednesday at the same time, if necessary.
