Spain suffered a "disastrous tournament." Their title defense was extinguished after taking a serious beating from Chile and Holland. They were thumped 5-1 by Holland and were then stunned 2-1 by Chile just a few days later.

Unlike Spain, Australia entertained and impressed the crowd with their efforts during the matches they lost.

"You never go into a title fight thinking you are going to lose. And when you get that one chance you have to take it," Australian soccer player Tim Cahill said about giving it everything against the Netherlands, according to CBC News.

Spain is the first defending champion to be knocked out after only two games in the group stage.

Spain is unbeaten against opponents from Asia, while Australia has never lost a final group match in their three previous participations. If Spain were to lose, Australia would become the first Asian side to defeat Spain at the World Cup and La Roja would be the first World Cup holders to be defeated in all three of their group matches

Nawaf Shukralla is the head referee. Two fellow Bahrainis and a Tahitian will serve as his three assistants.

According to Weather.com, the temperature will reach the high 70s and it will be partly cloudy.
