Switzerland defeated Ecuador 2-1 in their opening game Sunday and they currently sit in a strong position. France wowed viewers with a free-flowing display of talent against Honduras in their opener winning 3-0 "in a game they could have feasibly scored eight in," according to the Bleacher Report.

This is the teams' 37th meeting. France lead the head-to-head series by 15 victories to 12, with the other nine games having ended in draws. Switzerland have not beaten France since 1992, when they snatched a 2-1 friendly win. That was followed by two French victories and three straight draws in the last three showdowns, according to FIFA.com.

France are favorites to win this game; Swiss assistant coach Michel Pont has even admitted it.

"Us, favorites? Absolutely not," Pont is quoted as saying by the Christian Post. "Frankly, the current French team impresses me, they have found harmony. It's extremely difficult to find their weak points, it is the first time I have experienced this in 13 years. We have to create their weak points, by improvising and taking each chance."

Meanwhile, France boss Didier Deschamps said he does not expect this game to be like the match they won against Honduras.

"They'll be obviously be committed, but it won't be anything like we had (against Honduras)," Deschamps said. "Their attacking line is much different, with much more individual quality, especially with the wingers who are heavily involved."

The match will take place at the Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova.

According to Weather.com, the temperature is expected to reach the 90s.
