Chad Mann has been named the head tennis coach for both men's and women's teams at the Loyola University New Orleans. Mann replaces Zubin Engineer, who stepped down from his position to become men's tennis coach at the University of Southern Mississippi in November

Dr. Michael Giorlando, Director of Athletics and Wellness, said that Mann has a lot of experience as a coach and a player.

"I am very excited for the opportunity to lead the tennis programs at Loyola," said Mann. "I would like to thank Dr. Giorlando, Associate Athletic Director Brett Simpson and the search committee for the faith they have placed in my abilities to guide these teams. My desire to lead the men and women's tennis teams and share my experiences with them will foster a wonderful environment for all who are a part of our tennis program," Sports Nola reports.

Mann is only the second tennis coach for Wolf Pack since the University revived the women's program in 2009-10 and the men's team in 2010-11.

"I look forward to working closely with Loyola faculty, staff and alumni," Mann said. "It's an honor to be a part of the Wolf Pack and I look forward to continued success for our student athletes in the classroom and on the court."

Prior to Loyola, he served as the assistant men's and women's tennis coach at the University of the Ozarks for two seasons. Mann assisted in training, recruiting potential student athletes, overseeing budgets, fundraising, and organizing practices, travel arrangements and event management. He also served as an instructor for the Physical Education Department, teaching Tennis I and II.

Mann was a coach at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor (UMHB) tennis team during the 2007-2008 season. He was responsible for recruiting, leading practice drills and maintaining team equipment. From 2006-2008, Mann was part of the Crusaders varsity tennis team.
