Brent Dearmon, 28, the B.C. Rain high school football coach, will now be working under Gus Malzahn, who is the head football coach at the Auburn University.

Apart from Dearmon, other people hired for administrative positions at Auburn include Chip Lindsey from Spain Park and Dell McGee of Carver High.

"I'm just excited just to get into the college atmosphere," Dearmon told Alabama. "I want to thank B.C. Rain for giving me the opportunity the last two years of being there I'm just looking forward to working with Auburn University."

Apart from Auburn, there are other universities such as Alabama, Georgia and Texas Tech among others hiring high school coaches due to no objection rules by the NCAA regarding the size of a team's staff.

Prior to B.C. Rain, Dearmon was employed as Kerry Stevenson's offensive coordinator at Vigor for three years.

Auburn University's sports teams are known as the Tigers. The Tigers sport burnt orange and navy blue jerseys.

They compete in Division I-A of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and in the Western Division of the 14-member Southeastern Conference (SEC).

In total, Tigers have won 19 intercollegiate national championships, which include 17 NCAA Championships - football (3), men's swimming and diving (8), women's swimming and diving (5), horse riding (2) and women's outdoor track and field (1).

The team has also won 70 SEC championships comprising of 51 men's titles and 19 women's titles.

Gus Malzahn was appointed as the football head coach, Dec.4.

Auburn played its first game in 1892 against the University of Georgia. This has turned into the oldest footballs rivalry in the country's southern regions.

Auburn University is one of the largest public universities in Alabama with around 25,000 students and 1,200 faculty members.

Initially, the college was only open to male students and offered programs related to arts and agriculture fields. In 1892 the college transformed into a coeducational school.
