Nokia 9 details are coming out of the box one by one. The top tier smartphone reportedly packs dual lens camera module and features that could seriously steal the attention from Google Pixel 2 or Galaxy S8.

Forget Nokia 8. It's time for Nokia 9

Nokia 9 has been making headline ever since several publications spilled the beans. The upcoming smartphone will carry a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 3,800 mAh battery and a massive 6 GB RAM on board. The phone is said to feature a few components found in the impending Galaxy S8 - such as - an iris scanner and IP68 certification.

The 5.5-inch Nokia 9 will be getting a dual lens module for its 22 MP rear shooter, coupled with a 12 MP front-facing camera. HMD might launch two Nokia 9 models, the base variant will sport 64 GB inbuilt storage whereas the top-of-line unit will come equipped with 128 GB.

Another reported feature that could steal the limelight from Google Pixel, is the quad OZO speakers that will make Nokia 9 an audio-focused device. The same technology will allow a phone to support 3D playback and deliver immersive audio for VR, Tech Radar reported.

To put into perspective, the Pixel came out as Google's flagship device that has one aggravating issue. A few owners reported distortion problem in the audio and Google promised to roll out software update to fix the issue in its February patch.

The Pixel 2 is expected to have a smoother audio and visual experience, thus, it will be interesting to find out how both phones compare.

Nokia 9 Price, Release Date

There is no detail on the naming or pricing but HMD Global could be combining hardware and price point so that the premium handset will be a better value for money as it is presumably a serious rival for Galaxy S8. Nokia 9 is expected late in Q2 2017, Forbes reported.
