Samsung Galaxy Note 8 News: Galaxy Note 8 To Launch In August, Will Try To Outdo iPhone 8 With Curved Infinity Display [VIDEO]

By

After a huge fiasco due to the exploding battery of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is under pressure to bounce back with its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8. The tech company has not officially revealed the specs and features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, but tech critics are speculating that the tech giant will try to outdo Apple's iPhone 8 with the device's rumored curved infinity display.

As for the Galaxy Note 8 release date, the South Korean tech giant has not yet pitched in an official date, according to PC Advisor. Rumor has it that the device will be unveiled in August 2017, following the tech company's tradition of releasing its latest flagship devices a month ahead of the usual September release of Apple's iPhone. Nonetheless, aside from Samsung Galaxy Note 8's curved display, the upcoming Samsung device is expected to come along with a slim bezel and a fingerprint scanner. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also speculated to ditch the home button to give way for a virtual one, much like Apple's forthcoming iPhone.

Nevertheless, Galaxy Note 8's most essential feature will be its battery. As the failure of the Galaxy Note 7 was due to its faulty batteries, so the South Korean tech company is expected to roll out a much safer Galaxy Note 8. In equipping the Galaxy Note 8 with a better battery, the company is said to be talking with Murata Manufacturing, Trusted Reviews reported.

In spite of that, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is said to come along with a Snapdragon 835 SoC, dual-lens camera, and a 6GB of RAM. The upcoming Samsung device could also roll out with an iris scanner, a new S-Pen with speakers and an IP68 certification. In addition, there reports claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could even have 2 models. Reports suggest that the two Galaxy Note 8 variants will be available similar to the Galaxy S7.
