A new Xiaomi smartphone, which dubbed as Xiaomi Mi MIX Evo, has been spotted on benchmark website Geekbench. The new smartphone said to be a variant of the Xiaomi Mi MIX phablet which was introduced last year.
According to BGR, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Evo smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 SoC which clocked at 1.90GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM. With the Snapdragon SoC on board, the phone suggest that it was a high-end phone. The newly upgraded processor now offers support for a 4K display and Quick Charge 4.0, which allows the makes device to achieve five hours of power in just five minutes of charging. The new smartphone is said to feature a display with a higher resolution.
Even though the Geekbench listing doesn't reveal much information about the smartphone, but its name suggests that this might be a possible variant or refresh of the Xiaomi's near bezel-less display phone, the Xiaomi Mi MIX.
To recall, Xiaomi first introduced the company's concept Mi MIX smartphone as a limited edition smartphone in October last year. The near bezel-less display phone features 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, paired with 4GB/ 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
It also boasts a 128GB of onboard storage. As with the multimedia and optics, Xiaomi has equipped the phone with a dual-tone LED flash, 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and comes with a 5-megapixel camera.
In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi MIX smartphone include 4G LTE, a GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, NFC with Mi Pay support, USB Type-C port, and the latest Bluetooth v4.2 technology.
There's not much information to tell about the rumored Xiaomi Mi MIX Evo as the company decided to remain silent on this matter. But latest rumors suggest that a big announcement might take place at the upcoming 2017 MWC event (Mobile World Congress) next month.
