The Xavier Musketeers (5) may well be the final nationally ranked opponent in the Villanova Wildcats' (1) remaining four games, and a win Wednesday night could all but lock up the Big East regular season title.

Not only is Villanova 13-1 against the Big East, but the Wildcats have also spent the last three weeks ranked first in the nation, a spot few of the last five teams ranked their could hold for very long. Villanova is also looking to earn a one-seed for the NCAA Tournament.

However, Xavier is looking to avenge their 95-64 drubbing at the hands of Villanova in Dec. and could pull to within a half-game of the conference lead with a win. A win would be the first time Xavier has ever beaten Villanova in a Big East contest, ESPN reported.

Villanova head coach Jay Wright told the school's official athletics website he was not able to use much game tape from the two team's first meeting.

"That was such a bizarre game," he said. "As soon as (Sumner) went down it was shocking to all of us and it really affected them. And we just started making ridiculous shots. It was just a surreal day.

"We have hardly even looked at that to prepare. It was so long ago. We've look at what they've been doing recently."
